Who is Microblading for?

Microblading is for anyone looking to enhance the shape, color, and fullness of one’s brows. A dry to normal, smooth texture skin type is best suited for this style of cosmetic tattooing.

Some medications can refrain individuals from receiving Microblading. See contraindications for who Is not a candidate for Microblading.

How long will my Cosmetic Tattoo last?

To fully answer this question really comes down to how well you follow the after care instructions provided. Microblading generally last 12-18 months. This does not mean the tattoo will be fully gone for everyone. Depending on lifestyle, some may still have noticeable strokes, they have just faded over the year. Others may not have any strokes left at all. We all metabolize differently, therefore I can not guarantee results. I do offer a Yearly Color Boost service. This is a yearly brow refresher appointment, where the color will be redeposited and shape corrected if needed. This service is for previous Lusting Expressions customers only. If you have had work done by an other artist, a consultation or clear emailed photo will need to be booked and/or sent before I will work on you. Not all previous work can or will be performed on. Lusting Expressions has the right to deny any service on anyone.

Is a touch up necessary?

The day after you leave your first appointment your brows will be much darker and bolder than they will end up. Throughout the first week and during your healing process, the skin will flake and color will begin to soften. Some clients may prefer this, others may enjoy the “dark” stage. Do know this is a normal process of any cosmetic tattoo healing. It can be common for areas to heal spotty and the brows can look unfinished. At your second appointment (complimentary touch up session) we will access the healed color and re-evaluate your skins condition to how it held onto the pigment. Any necessary changes will be corrected + enhanced at this time. A third touch up may be needed for those with very oil skin, problematic skin, darker pigmentation or those who did not follow aftercare instructions. Cosmetic tattoo’s do require a minimum of two appointments to complete the look of brows.

What does the aftercare include?

DO NOT FEAR THIS PART! Frequent blotting to remove access lipids. Gentle cleansing of the area. Application of provided aftercare balm for 7 days.

No direct water on brows for 10 days. No tanning beds, pools, chlorinated areas, steam rooms or saunas and hot yoga for 2 weeks. No exercise or access sweating for 10 days. No makeup applied on the area for 4 weeks. No chemical treatments or laser sessions for 4 weeks. No botox for 2 weeks. No direct sunlight for a minimum of 30 days. DO NOT DRY HEAL. Keep your brows cleaned and lightly moisturized during your healing process.

Is Microblading painful?

Meh. Personally I say no. But remember we each have a different pain tolerance. It’s certainly tolerable. Two topical anesthetics with lidocaine are used during the process to reduce any discomfort. In most cases, an individual falls asleep as I do my best to keep you comfortable. I’ve had many clients mention they felt their experience was more spa “relaxing” like compared to a tattoo.

What factors will affect my Cosmetic Tattoo?

Skin conditions. Sun’s exposure. Regeneration of skin cells, this includes frequent topical use of corrective skin creams and serums (Glycolic Acid, Vitamin C, Retinols, and Retin A). Speed at which the skin absorbs the ink. Choice of color (blondes fade quicker than dark). Multiple medications. Any additional enhancements done to the area.

How is the color and shape decided?

This is something we will discuss at your first appointment during our consultation. Unless you have previous tattoo work, a photo MUST be emailed prior to booking. If you feel more comfortable emailing me a photo of your brows prior to the appointment we can discuss your questions/concerns. It is not a bad idea to come to your first appointment with your brows drawn on, if you do so, for me to help determine the look your desiring. Also to see what areas do and do not need worked on. I will draw a set of brows on and we will choose what color will best suit your needs and skin. If needed, I will remove the hairs outside the drawing. If you regularly wax or thread your brows, please do so two weeks before your appointment. Inform me if you regularly tint your brows.

How do I book an appointment?

ALL BOOKING IS DONE ONLINE

A booking link is added to both social media pages (Facebook or IG) when books are open for scheduling. Books open 8 weeks before the actual appointment. $100 secures your spot!

If you have had ANY previous permanent makeup performed; a clear bare face photo (no filters, no makeup, natural lighting) MUST be sent & approved prior to booking. Not all cover ups or corrections can be achieved. Some may require removal session(s) to achieve the desired result.
